To use the search feature, click the left box and choose a field to search by. Click the middle box to specify your matching criteria, and type what you are searching for in the right box. 

 

• Example 1: click the left box and choose LAST NAME, click the middle box and choose CONTAINS, then type SMITH in the last box and click the green Run Filter button. This will give you a list of all people that have SMITH anywhere in their last name. That would include Smith, Nesmith, Smithfield, etc. If you used EQUALS instead of CONTAINS, you would only get Smith (not Nesmith or Smithfield or etc.).
• Example 2: click the left box and choose UNIT, click the middle box and choose STARTS WITH, then type H in the last box and click the green Run Filter button. This will give you a list of all people with units that begin with the letter H. That would include H Co, HHT, HOW, etc. If you used CONTAINS instead of STARTS WITH, you would also get 919TH ENGR CO  and 37TH MED CO. If you used EQUALS instead of STARTS WITH, you would get nothing found.
• Using EQUALS in the middle box will return only those people who match exactly what you type in.
